Friday March 1, 2019 - Birding in Arlington and then errands

Lu came into my bedroom this morning early which is unusual as Cassi is usually up as soon as she hears him up.  I got Lu rolling with the activities of toileting and washing hands, getting dressed and breakfast.  He got a treat for breakfast, Gluten free Cheerios with some blueberries added.  I was busy so it was not until we sat down to breakfast I started thinking of Cassi and why she had not stirred yet.  I started getting worried.  She is always up.... Then I started thinking of the worst case scenario.... I almost started getting weepy.  There was not a sound from the bedroom.  Lu said she was sleeping so I was almost scared going in.   Well she was just sleeping like the dead figuratively speaking.  She was so tired.  Whew!

I got Lu to school and then Darla for a walkie.  Then I stopped at MacD's for my decaf and there were TV's on the wall!!!  Yipee, maybe CNN before I leave here.  The TV was not on yet,  but the TV is there.  I will go there tomorrow to check it out.

Today I joined the birding group in Arlington and one of the fellows I know from several other outings.  We walked the trails and it was overcast and cool but there were plenty of birds.  Red bellied Woodpecker, Northern Mocking Bird, Bewick's Wren, American Goldfinches and Eastern Bluebirds.  There were also Northern Cardinals and Blue Jays.  We had a good walk and some nice birds.  Once done, I usually check some other places out in the area there but I had stuff to do.

Yesterday I parked the car under a tree and some berry eating birds, must have a lot of them,  pooped all over it. I could only clean the windshield to get going this morning.  A car wash was needed desperately.  I found a place on Camp Bowie Road and they take the car put it through the wash and then there are men to dry the car off.  The fellow asked me if I wanted the inside cleaned and I said yes.  I kept looking for the car to go through the track car wash and I did not see it.  Several cars that were behind me in the lineup had already gone through.  I went to look out the back and the fellow was still vacuuming it!!   It was pretty messy inside with lots of crumb and stuff from a certain little fellow.  Then I saw them spot clean the poop off.  Those guys really worked for their money on that car.  Once I got into the car, it looked like new and the outside was great.

From there I went back to the Goodyear Garage as the indicator light for a warning on tire pressure  still came on again.  I don't know from this if the tires are good or the sensor needs adjusting.  The fellow again did some adjustment and took it out for a drive and finally the icon on the dashboard is out.  Everything is good.  So I brought back a clean car with a full tank of gas with no warning lights.  Had I known I would have had an oil change done.

I picked up Lu and we had our Friday Freezer Feast with whatever is in the freezer.  There were eggrolls, chicken nuggets and sweet potato fries and pot stickers.  A pretty good feast.  I took Darla out for her evening walkie.  Matt arrived and Darla dog and Lu went nuts.  Cassi was so tired she had fallen asleep on the couch right after supper.  So a good day, birding and some stuff done.
